Each year we participate in several sports. Locally we participate in church volleyball. This is open to teen girls and guys and adults as well. We also have enjoyed having a co-ed softball team over the years. We play soft-ball at the Oxford Lake Complex. Trips to Ocoee, Tennessee is a must for those of us who love white water rafting too. The ladies and teen girls often meet for a time of aerobic exercise and devotion.
We’ve turned a basement room into what we laughingly call “The Coldwater Pool Hall.” It is a joy to see youth playing a game of pool with a senior adult. It’s not often that the generations put aside differences and enjoy fellowship together. This happens often with recreation. The youth have learned respect and good sportsmanship from watching the adults. Recreation also provides good exercise and oftentimes a lot of laughs.
